What Happens in This Phase

The Test phase validates that software meets requirements and performs correctly under expected conditions. Documentation includes test plans, coverage reports, security test results, and performance baselines. AI generates test documentation from test code and execution results, with humans validating accuracy and completeness.

What AI-Generated Test Documentation Often Misses

  • Test quality vs. quantity - High coverage doesn't mean meaningful tests
  • Environmental dependencies - Tests that pass locally but fail in CI/CD
  • Flaky test patterns - Intermittent failures not reflected in summary
  • Security test context - Whether findings are exploitable in deployment
  • Requirements not yet testable - Deferred or blocked test scenarios

Human reviewers must validate that coverage reflects actual requirement validation.

Before accepting AI-assisted Test phase documentation:
